Otters found dead in illegal traps

Lincolnshire Police is looking for clues after two otters were found dead in snares.

Officers are investigating the animals’ deaths after they were found in Tetford.

Images of the otters have been released by the wild crime team on Twitter.

Snares are illegal in England, Wales and Scotland to catch certain animals including badger, wild cat, hedgehog, pine marten, otter or red squirrel.

 The force is asking anyone with information to contact them on 101.
