This badger took refuge in an outside toilet of a Rotherfield Garage at Easebourne, Midhurst, West Sussex on 7th August 1998. It had escaped from a snare that had injured its neck. The resulting foul smelling wound had weakened it and it had probably been forced out of the sett by a dominant boar.
