Two men have pleaded guilty of setting illegal self-locking snares in a case brought by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Scottish SPCA).

Alasdair Mundell of Lawesknowe Farm, Beattock, Moffat and Mr. McMillan, a 65-year-old retired gamekeeper from Moffat, were both fined £250 at Dumfries Sheriff Court after being charged under the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
