The National Anti Snaring Campaign wants the banning of all types of snare used for 'pest control', whether it be a rabbit snare for snaring rabbit (or trapping rabbit) or fox snare.

60,000 CALL FOR COMPLETE SNARE BAN

MPs, Peers and Campaigners stand behind the National Anti Snaring Campaign banner shortly before presenting the 60,000 signature National Anti Snaring petition to 10 Downing Street on 13th June 2002. The petition has been jointly collected by the National Federation of Badger Groups and National Anti Snaring Campaign.

Behind the banner (not necessarily in order) are Norman Baker MP (Lewes), Roger Gale MP (Thanet North), Ian Cawsey MP (Brigg and Goole), Baroness Anita Gale and Margaret Wright (Green Party). Also RSPCA Superintendent Mike Flynn and SSPCA Chief Inspector Jim Cormack, and Dr Elaine King of NFBG.

Norman Baker is putting forward an early day motion on banning snares in the Commons this week.
